THE Doctors
Eric Noll, OD MBA FAAO
Eric grew up in rural Pennsylvania very active in a multitude of activities and outdoors pursuits. He attended Pennsylvania State University and received a Bachelor's in Microbiology with minors in Chemistry and Biochemistry. While there, Dr. Noll participated in multiple club sports and organizations including wrestling, soccer, rugby, and an outdoors interest fraternity. After graduation he attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry for his doctorate degree while on scholarship from the Air Force. Upon graduation he was assigned to Minot AFB, ND for three years and thoroughly enjoyed his time both at work and outside of it while coaching wrestling, training dogs, and exploring the state's outdoors. Things worked out that his next assignment landed him in his dream state of Alaska in 2016 at Eielson AFB, AK where he began his MBA and continued his love of remote places. In 2019 he made the tough decision to leave active duty to pursue his goals of practice ownership and staying in Alaska.
During the next 1.5 years he worked at a group practice in Fairbanks and continued his military career as a Reservist at JB Elmendorf-Richardson where he continues to work monthly. In April 2020 while searching for ownership options he found Kodiak Vision Clinic and in 2021 completed the purchase and moved to Kodiak where his enthusiasm for providing quality care and pride in his work continues to flourish. In May 2021, he graduated from Johns' Hopkins Carey Business school with an MBA in Healthcare Admin. Come for a visit and to say hi, Dr Noll loves hearing about all things Alaska and people's experiences here while his adventures continue.

MEAGAN HERRING, OD
Dr. Herring comes to Kodiak as a Coast Guard spouse with over a decade of professional experience across a multitude of practice settings. Prior to relocating, she worked for a group practice in Northern California where she focused on myopia control and dry eye management.
Originally from just outside of Toronto, Canada, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science. She then went on to pursue optometry school at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Living in a sunshine state provided the opportunity to train year-round outdoors, so she took up racing in marathons and triathlons as a hobby alongside her studies, in addition to teaching group exercise classes on campus.
After graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and her Optometry Degree, she moved to Maryland to complete a residency in Ocular Disease at an ophthalmology practice through Salus University. There, she saw a wide array of eye diseases and became intrigued with the impact of whole-body health on the eyes. In addition to mentoring student interns, participating in clinical trials, and being on call for the hospital, she had the unique experience of attending the weekly ophthalmology grand rounds at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
She then relocated back to Florida with her husband where she helped build a private practice, a CrossFit gym, and her family. Her passion for nutrition became evident through patient education, gym nutrition challenges, a food blog, feeding her family, and guest appearances on the “Ask the Doctor” radio show.
Dr. Herring also holds the title of Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, which allows her to provide an integrated approach to eye care. She is looking forward to getting to know the community and work with us for the next few years.
She enjoys trail running, yoga, cooking, gardening, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two sons.
